Gabrielle Graf Palmer is an entertainment and sports sponsorship executive, and Sara Lunsford is an ace management consultant and self-proclaimed “spreadsheet queen and number-cruncher”. The two met by chance 26 years ago at the Atlanta airport, when they noticed they were dressed identically from head to toe. They agreed that they both had great taste, became fast friends, and have shared a deep bond ever since that has pulled them through a lot together.
In 2020 the two followed through on a vision they shared, combined their tremendous cache of talents, and launched RomaDrama Live! – an epic event that brings fans together with some of their favorite actors and writers of made-for-TV and holiday movies. Little did they know we were on the brink of a worldwide pandemic, or that each was soon to suffer devastating personal losses.
These remarkable, courageous ladies share with us what it’s like to work with your BFF – in fact how their friendship was a pivotal part of their ability to stay afloat and continue moving ahead in the year that became 2020.
“I had to lean on Gabrielle just to keep myself and our new business going some days,” Lunsford shares. “She shouldered much more than her share of the work sometimes. I don’t know how I would have done it without her. That's what true friendship is.”
Sara and Gabrielle were featured in the July 25, 2021 issue of Forbes magazine by writer Jeryl Brunner, who profiles people “guided by a deep and unshakable passion for what they do. And following their joy inspires them to think outside the box, take risks and triumph.”
